October 11, 1977 - February 8, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sara Lynn Baker, who lost her courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer at home in Florence, Montana, surrounded by the love of her family.
Sara was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on October 11, 1977. At the age of seven, she moved with her family to Montana, where she grew up in Great Falls. She attended both the University of Montana and Montana State University, earning a degree in Microbiology from MSU.
In 2005, she married the love of her life, Jason Baker, and together they built a beautiful life, raising two dynamic children, Ethan and Cassie. Sara embraced life with an adventurous spirit, living each moment to the fullest. She enjoyed hiking, fishing, traveling, reading a good book, and was always ready to discover the next great restaurant. She treasured long talks with her sister, quality time with her family during their visits to Great Falls, and game nights with her children filled with laughter and competition. She especially cherished time spent at home on the Baker Farm, fishing with Ethan, traveling the state watching Cassie show her 4H steers, and making priceless memories during family vacations and lake days. She was deeply involved in her children's lives, supporting them in school activities and celebrating their achievements.
Sara approached life with curiosity and passion. She was a successful realtor and business partner, building a career through hard work, integrity, and a passion for helping others find their place to call home. She was a master researcher, a Wordle champion, and a devoted Vikings football fan. Her faith was her foundation. She loved Jesus Christ and devoted her life to serving Him and instilled that Faith with Jason to their children. A strong woman of Faith she was. She found peace and strength in worship music – often singing along. She led by example, encouraging others, sharing hope, and teaching the joy of giving. She never missed a chance to spread holiday cheer- especially through her signature Christmas ornaments for clients and her impeccable ability to always find the perfect gift to give, no matter the occasion.
Sara's life was a powerful testament to living fully and with purpose. She always encouraged others -even through supportive texts in her final days. She never gave up hope and openly shared her struggles to inspire others. Sara's legacy is one of love, resilience, and kindness. She believed in forgiveness no matter what, selflessness, living intentionally, and making every second count. She inspired those around her to think outside the box, communicate openly, and, above all, love fiercely.
To honor Sara's memory, we invite you to embrace the values she held dear-encourage others, seek help when needed, give quietly without expectation, and never give up hope. In doing so, we continue the beautiful impact of her life.
Sara will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Jason, their two children Ethan and Cassie, her father and mother,John and Debbie Ewald, her sister Stephanie, and her brother Johnny (Jenelle and Griffin), her nephews Rylan, Logan, and Jackson, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
